How to See who Stalks Your Facebook

How To See Who Stalks Your Facebook | Over the past few weeks many of my trainees insisted they understand 'a way' to see who looked at your facebook profile one of the most. Usually I don't care about such 'misconceptions' but given that it didn't pass away and trainees didn't believe my 'that's impossible to work' here a short blog post about it and the reason it will not work.

How To See Who Stalks Your Facebook

The idea: Find out your facebook ID (if you have no idea the best ways to do that, google it. Easy as 1,2,3), navigate to your profile through your own ID, best click, open source code and after that see your 'stalker'.

Here are some screenshots that demonstrate how it must work.

1.) Browse to your profile via your ID, best click and view page source.

2.) Look for the entry 'friendslist' in the source code.

And here the reason that this DOES NOT WORK!

1.) Friends and the private information Facebook gathers from them and you is their biggest great. They would NEVER EVER EVER make it accesible and easy to discover. If you can discover it out like this, everyone else might discover it out too. Simply think of the problems this may trigger. That's something Facebook would never ever want to happen due to the fact that they would enter great deals of trouble.

2.) This part of the source code does reveal some kind of a list, true. However it is rather likely that it reveals the friends you are more than likely to communicate with. As you may now Facebook ranks your buddies and the news you see and on wich position your good friends appear on your interaction with them. So if you are most likely to connect with a friend (say it's your sibling or somebody you used to speak with a lot over the past couple of days) this buddy will make it to the top of the list. It is NOT the person who visited your profile the last.

3.) If you do not believe me, believe a few of the other geeks and Facebook addicts out there. Example:

Hope that helps and the misconception of 'I know who visited my profile last/ most' will finally die.

Ways You Can Block A Facebook Stalker

1. Via Your Block Lists

You can block both individuals and applications.

In Facebook, go to > Account > Personal privacy Settings and find the item called > Block Lists at the bottom of the page. Click the > Edit your lists connect to continue.

On the following page you can go into Facebook users by name and email address and obstruct them.

If there are numerous people with the same name, you will see a list of matching profiles. Click the > Block button next to the individual you were looking for.

2. Via Their Profile.

On each Facebook user profile there is a > Report/Block this Individual link at the bottom left. Click this link and a window will appear that allows you to make a selection.

For example, you might report the person for > Unwanted contact and inspect the box to > Block this person. If you choose the block, the name will appear in your Block Notes, as explained above.

3. Via Their Messages.

If the person you wish to block has sent you any messages, you can obstruct them by clicking the > Report link beside their name and the date the message was received. To see the link you should open the message. When you click it, a window with further options will appear.

Note that no one you block will be informed of the action. However, if they are on your pal list, they will be eliminated and your profile will not show up to them. Similarly, you will not be able to see their profile. You both will be undetectable to each other, with the exception of 3rd party applications.

If you unintentionally obstructed someone, you can easily remove the block. Go to your Block Lists and click the > Unblock link next to the person's name. You will be asked to verify. Unblocking a person will not bring back a previous connection.

4. Eliminate Your Standard Directory Site Information.

If you have a severe stalker, chances are they will simply set up a new Facebook account once you block them. In this case you should consider making your profile personal, so that complete strangers can not discover and bug you.

The very first thing you need to do, is eliminate as much of yourself as possible from the > Standard Directory Site Details. Go to > Account > Personal privacy Settings and click > View Settings.

On the following page you can define who can search and discover you on Facebook, send pal requests or messages, see your friend list, and more. For each product choose thoroughly from the following choices: Everyone, Friends of Buddies, or Buddies Only.

Unfortunately, you can not completely conceal yourself. Facebook states that "your name, profile picture, gender, and network are constantly open to everybody." This explains why.

5. Tighten Your Privacy Settings.

Besides restricting basic directory site information, you should also restrict who can see the important things you are sharing. Go back to > Account > Privacy Settings and click the > Customize settings to adjust your > Sharing on Facebook options. You can also select from a default setting.

A brand-new page with a list of choices will open. Go through all the points and decide who you want to see your posts, your individual details, or things others share with you. You can pick from Everyone, Pals of Friends, Pals Only, or Customize each point and make the info noticeable to only yourself or hide it from particular people.

It goes without stating that Facebook is just one medium through which a person can stalk you. No matter how tight your privacy settings or how reliable individuals on your good friend list are, someone determined to discover and pester you still has the rest of the internet at their disposal. Make certain to treat your individual info, your contact information, and your online privacy in basic like a raw egg.

If that's all we can tell about How To See Who Stalks Your Facebook I hope this article was helpful thank you.
